My volunteer work in Australia

I lived and worked in an Eco Village in the town of Maleny, near the Sunshine Coast. My tasks included picking fruit and helping with everyday household chores. We needed some repairs in the Village, which I was happy to take on.

Maleny is a very friendly and community-conscious town. I particularly enjoyed the music events on the weekends. I was able to meet many new artists and friends there. We went on many excursions with our supervisor. Be it the beaches, national parks, aquarium and Australia Zoo, there was a lot to discover! But we were also able to go out on our own and explore the area. Our place is known for its platypuses. I also encountered snakes, kangaroos and of course spiders. In just a few weeks I was able to learn a lot of new things and develop myself anew. I had an incredible amount of fun and really enjoyed the time.
