We accompany you through the entire process of your great adventure. Our coordinators will advise you personally and individually until you have found the right project together and all questions have been answered. You don't have to worry about organizing your stay abroad - we'll take care of that! You also always have a contact person on site who is at your side. Otherwise, of course, our office in Munich remains available for you.

If you want to get even more involved with your volunteer work, we recommend our before you leave preparation seminar. We also offer various personal development courses to accompany your trip, as well as a reflection course after your return.

All of our projects are either operated by Rainbow Garden Village or selected to our standards. You can be sure that you are making a meaningful contribution here. According to the "do-no-harm" principle, the projects on site create added value and do no harm.

For example, we ensure that animals are treated in a species-appropriate manner and that we have a respectful relationship with nature. In addition, the volunteers do not take away jobs, but provide support. We do not work with orphanages, and we are generally careful not to support organizations that exploit or mistreat children.

We are in constant contact with the teams in our projects and are constantly working on further development. The projects are also regularly checked by us.

The topic Sustainability is particularly important to us. For us, the ecological aspect plays a role as well as the social and economic one.

Volunteering with us is only in compliance with the RGV Animal-, Natural and Child Safeguarding Policy possible. We also find that the longer the stay abroad, the more sustainable it is. This applies both to emissions and to the quality of your commitment on site. The minimum duration of our projects is two weeks, for social projects four. However, we encourage our participants to stay longer so that everyone can benefit more. RGV is also committed to dealing responsibly with emissions and offsetting them. From 2025 we will offset all flights by RGV participants and make donations to MyClimate to offset CO2 emissions.

The focus of the volunteer assignments is on cultural exchange. Because personal encounters create a deeper understanding of other ways of life, which ultimately enriches both you and the local people. In addition, for sustainable support, we focus on long-term cooperation rather than short-term collaborations.

In our local teams, we pay attention to fair working conditions and fair remuneration for all employees according to regional and country-specific standards. This also supports the local economy.

The safety of our volunteers is our top priority. All accommodations are carefully selected and are generally located in safe areas. During your stay, “locals” will be at your side as contact persons who are very familiar with the area and will be happy to help if you have any problems. We also have a 24/7 number for urgent emergencies.

After your arrival, you will learn everything you need to know about safety, rules and more during the orientation program. The team will tell you what to look out for, which areas to avoid and many other tips for local life.

Become part of the RGV community! Around 1500 volunteers travel with us every year. In most projects you are not alone, because other volunteers await you on site - both from RGV and international participants from all over the world. Whether in the Volunteer House or with the host family - you will certainly make new friends! Of course you can also take part in our projects together with your friends or your partner. We are happy to take care of a joint placement.

Also online, for example on Instagram and Facebook, our community keeps growing. We offer you the opportunity to exchange ideas with future or former volunteers in advance or to share your own experiences.
