1. Tabular CV

Depending on the area of activity, certain previous knowledge is sometimes required for participation. In general, your CV gives us an insight into your knowledge and experience.

Note: Include your experience abroad with Rainbow Garden Village in your future CV. Volunteer work and social commitment are used by many employers as a plus perceived.

2. Letter of motivation

In your letter of motivation, you have the opportunity to describe your wishes and expectations for your project placement. On the other hand, it is a first proof of your language skills for us, because you should write your letter of motivation in English.

3. Proof of your language skills

At the RGV locations, communication is usually possible in English as well as in the national languages. Especially in the project you should be able to exchange ideas with the team or the children, patients etc. We want to make sure that your commitment is an enrichment for you and the local people. However, this only works with sufficient language skills.

4. Certificate of good conduct

To protect the local children, we want to make sure you don't have a criminal record. As proof, we therefore need an extended certificate of good conduct from you. With a confirmation from us, you can apply for this at your registration office. The document for applying for the certificate of good conduct is enclosed with your confirmation (as a PDF by e-mail). It usually takes about one to two weeks to process your application. At the time of your departure, the extended certificate of good conduct must not be older than three months. In the extended certificate of good conduct, all criminal offenses are listed in comparison to the private certificate of good conduct.

5. Copy of your passport or ID card (for Europe)

This way we have a backup copy for you should you lose your pass on site. RGV does not pass on personal data to third parties.

6. Proof of international health insurance

Please inquire whether your insurance company also offers insurance cover for working abroad. If not, there is a possibility that Volunteer and intern insurance from ERGO complete. It offers optimal travel protection for you.

7. Liability insurance

It is also important for your private liability insurance that it is also valid in your destination country.

8. Additional documents for the medical field

Hospitals and other medical institutions will need a copy of an international birth certificate from you. This is a prerequisite for working in a medical project. You can simply apply for the international birth certificate at the registry office in your place of birth. You can apply online here. The fee is between 10-15 €.

9. Additional documents for a sabbatical or internship

For Skills Based Volunteering or Internships we need proof of training, depending on the area of activity you are applying for. For internships in the medical field, for example, we need proof of degrees and/or certificates (in English). Get in touch with us, we would be happy to advise you on this.
