Who is volunteering abroad suitable for?

Pupils (from 16 / under 18)

You still go to school and want to From the age of 16, volunteer to help abroad? Then, for example, spending several weeks abroad during the summer holidays would be perfect for you! Participation in many projects is possible for as little as two weeks. You will get to know other volunteers and gain exciting experiences abroad. We offer you numerous volunteer projects and internships abroad where you can gain practical experience and volunteer, even if you are not yet of legal age. Let us advise you individually!

Go abroad after graduating from high school (or from the age of 18)

You have your high school diploma in your pocket – but what happens now? Off to abroad! A longer stay abroad from 18 years or after high school is ideal to take a breather, gain new experiences and think about your future. Regardless of whether you want to get involved socially or do an internship for professional orientation - the opportunity to explore the world as flexibly as you do now won't come back any time soon. Volunteering abroad also helps you with your personal development. Internships are also required for many courses and training courses and a stay abroad is also a big plus on your CV. Together we will find the right project for you!

Students and apprentices

During your studies or your training, you can complete a compulsory or specialist internship through us. You will gain practical know-how in your desired career field. In our accelerated contemporary world, more and more people are taking this courageous step and taking their very own personal break. You can also use your annual vacation or dedicate yourself to a charitable project for a longer period of time on a sabbatical in which you can also develop yourself! With your qualifications and your experience as a skilled worker or specialist you are a great asset on site in our target countries. RGV offers skilled volunteering projects for a wide range of professions and areas of activity. We will work with you to organize your tailor-made sabbatical!

Volunteering for participants 50plus

Gerade People with a lot of life and work experience are a special enrichment for our foreign projects! At RGV we are always happy to have motivated best agers who bring special added value to our project work thanks to their diverse skills. There is no age limit in numbers for most projects: active seniors who would by no means describe themselves as “retired” but who are interested in meaningful commitment and feel a sense of optimism are particularly welcome! A certain level of basic fitness is of course a prerequisite for successful participation in a volunteer project abroad. You can find more information in our personal consultation!

Parents with child

Volunteer work, internship abroad or sabbatical with a child? We make it possible! A trip with one or even several children is an unforgettable adventure - but it also requires some preparation. It is important to have a lot of openness and tolerance towards other cultures and to convey this to your children in an age-appropriate manner. We will certainly find a solution for childcare on site and offer numerous suggestions for child-friendly leisure activities at each location. Let us know your wishes and ideas and together we will create a great package for a unique parent-child experience!

Participants with disabilities

In the area of ​​barrier-free travel, an open and honest dialogue with our participants is particularly important to us. Unfortunately, traveling is for People with physical disabilities still associated with many obstacles and difficulties. At RGV we believe: A physical handicap should not be a reason to have to forego social commitment in the form of volunteer work, an internship abroad or a sabbatical.
