“What language skills do I need for my internship abroad?”

“How do I prepare properly and what safety and health precautions do I need to take?”

In general, security, especially in African countries, is a topic that comes up again and again before doing an internship abroad. In most cases, however, there are just a few things to consider so that you can enjoy your stay carefree:

  • Take care of travel health insurance in advance and find out what services it covers
  • Check that your vaccinations are up to date
  • Make sure your first-aid kit is well stocked
  • Pay attention to sufficient hygiene in general (wash your hands before eating) and for some countries the following applies: no uncooked food, no street food and no tap water
  • Valuables should be left at home or carried in a fanny pack
