There is often a lack of staff, the necessary technical equipment, hygiene or specialist knowledge. Obstetrics abroad offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience while making a significant contribution to improving maternal and newborn health care in less developed countries. Our medical volunteer programs abroad include maternity care projects that we provide in various locations around the globe.

In addition, maternity wards are often extremely overcrowded. Through your commitment as a volunteer in obstetrics, you can compensate for this deficiency a little and give the expectant mothers and their babies a good start to their life together. This experience can be personally very rewarding while contributing to the global effort to improve healthcare for women worldwide.
