Compliance

Compliance means adhering to legal and internal rules, standards and codes - in short: the compliance of a company or an organization with the rules. At Rainbow Garden Village, we are committed to complying with these rules and ensure that our actions are impeccable, correct and exemplary at all times.

The aim of compliance is to minimize risks and thus protect the organization and all people involved. Illegal violations of compliance guidelines can have far-reaching consequences of a financial nature, but also for the reputation of Rainbow Garden Village. This is precisely why we attach great importance to ensuring that all employees, participants and partners are informed about these guidelines and adhere to them. Through regular training and independent reviews, we can ensure that our organization meets the specified compliance obligations.

Some examples of how we ensure compliant behavior within our organization and beyond:

  • Financial reporting: In our financial reporting, we prove every year that we handle our finances responsibly and transparently.
  • Donation report: As a non-profit organization, we want to be transparent about where incoming donations go and record them in a donation report. The records are also made available for the tax audit.
  • Data protection: We ensure that the data of our participants, employees and everyone associated with RGV is kept safe and treated in accordance with the applicable General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Code of Ethics: RGV ensures that all employees and individuals associated with the organization adhere to codes of ethics.
  • General Equal Treatment Act: We guarantee that nobody will be discriminated against on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, belief, age, gender, disability, sexual identity or other characteristics.

In addition, all protection guidelines developed by RGV are included in our Code of Conduct, including Children-, Animal- And Nature Conservation, held. All other actors involved in volunteer work, such as host projects, our RGV teams in the target countries and the participating volunteers themselves, are also committed to these guidelines.
