Croatia - land of 1000 islands

Mediterranean flair

Get to know the land of 1000 islands and let the Mediterranean flair work on you. Countless islands and bays, picturesque beaches and sun-drenched cliffs await you. Islands and mainland offer almost 6000 kilometers of coastline, so there is enough beach and sea for everyone. This paradisiacal coast will enchant you, especially the Istrian peninsula, which looks so much like Italy's Tuscany that it has been dubbed "New Tuscany". Istria is located in the north-eastern Adriatic Sea in the Mediterranean Sea and offers you plenty of sun, turquoise blue sea and fantastic natural beauty as well as impressive culture.

Nature & culture in Croatia

Many cities and buildings have been declared cultural heritage, such as the old town of Dubrovnik, the historic complex of Split with Diocletian's Palace and the Plitvice Lakes National Park. In the city of Pula, located near the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula, you can admire a Roman amphitheater. It is the sixth largest ancient amphitheater, one of the best preserved and of course the symbol of the city. Another highlight is an ancient underwater discovery: a shipwreck dating back to 1.200 BC. Chr., is a World Heritage Site and fascinates to this day.

Watch dolphins

Only three kilometers south of Funtana is the quiet and sleepy town of Vrsar. Located on a hill, it is a city with a special atmosphere. It grew from a fishing village and has turned into one of the most beautiful towns in Istria. You can see the traditional Istrian town by boat in your Animal and marine conservation project are on your way to see the dolphins. Just "around the corner" there is a fjord-like channel and here the probability of spotting dolphins is very high! With regular dolphin watching by boat, you will be able to see one of the most beautiful cities on the east Adriatic coast. And best of all, you will be able to admire this really charming and romantic city from the sea side. Not even many tourists can do that!
