Volunteer work in the field of surfing

The wide sea, the sun on your skin and the sound of the waves - surfing definitely gives you a very special feeling of freedom! Why not combine this lifestyle with voluntary work? A surfing project allows you to get involved in social activities while taming the waves.

The main thing is to help the trainers with the children in the various sports activities – be it surfing, swimming or fitness courses. Otherwise you help with childcare or in English lessons, go on trips with the children or support events. The tasks are very varied and are not just about surfing - so you are welcome to bring your own strengths and ideas to the table!

You should know that

Why you should volunteer in surf projects

Surfing is more than a sport - it's a way of life. It connects, strengthens self-esteem and ultimately is a lot of fun. The volunteer projects in this area are intended to give children who are growing up in difficult circumstances the opportunity for joint activities. In this way, the volunteers help to motivate the children to be active and learn.

Goals of Volunteering in Surf Projects

As a volunteer in the surf project, you can contribute to the development of the children and improve both your own fitness and that of the children. You teach the young people a new skill and through the time together you strengthen your sense of community, learn from each other and at the same time build a connection to the sea and nature.

Requirements

For our surf projects you don't necessarily need experience on the board. Safe swimming skills and the joy of working with children are important. If you also have the ability to work in a team, initiative and a willingness to learn, you will certainly be an asset to the project!

At a glance - where can you get involved?

We currently offer a surf project in South Africa where you can help underprivileged children through various activities. Would you rather travel to Indonesia? Then combine your volunteer work in Bali with a Beach holiday and expand your surfing skills. If you are a sports enthusiast in general, then you are also welcome to take a look at our soccer projects in Africa.
