Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is understood as the social responsibility of a company, namely in social, ecological and economic terms. Through various approaches and measures, we try to avoid or reduce potentially negative impacts on volunteers, local communities, employees and the environment.

Corporate Social Responsibility - Environment

Environment

Save Energy

100% green electricity flows through our RGV office in Munich. This means that the electricity is generated from environmentally friendly, renewable energy sources. In addition, the central heating in the individual rooms is used in an energy-saving and efficient manner.

Ecological Footprint

90% of our employees use public transport or prefer to cycle to work. Emissions caused by business trips, flights and other trips by our employees are calculated using a tool at the end of the year and reported MyClimate donated as compensation.

Carbon neutral website

Creating, launching and using websites also consumes energy. We compensate for this by measuring the CO2 emissions of our websites with the Ryte tool and paying a corresponding amount of money to MyClimate to compensate.

consumables

Consumables are required for daily work in the office. We make sure that these are made of easily recyclable materials as far as possible. However, our overarching goal is the general reduction of consumables. For example, our program catalog is currently still available as a print edition made from recycled paper and also as a download. In the foreseeable future we only want to offer this digitally in order to become more sustainable here as well.
When it comes to products such as pens and T-shirts, we attach great importance to the fact that they are made from environmentally friendly materials and are fairly traded.

Corporate Social Responsibility - Employees

Employees

CSR also means looking after the well-being of employees. We achieve this through flexible working models, such as working from home, through further education offers and training, team building measures, an open and equal working environment and much more

Community

Donate

As a non-profit organization, we donate excess funds to charitable and non-profit initiatives in our target countries. We also accept monetary donations and forward them to the desired project. Of course, we also issue donation receipts for this. Donations can also be made to the aid organization Rainbow over Ghana eV, which RGV founder Steffen Mayer set up as part of the “Students for Ghana” initiative. More info here.
