What to expect in Tanzania

Tanzania is just south of the equator on the east coast of Africa. The great diversity of landscapes in the country offers a fertile home for various animals and plants: from the Serengeti in the north to Lake Malawi in the south and the beautiful islands just off the east coast.

But Tanzania is diverse in many ways: For example, over 120 languages are spoken here. The most common language is Swahili, which is also the official language. With a booked language course, you can acquire basic knowledge and thus get closer to the locals more quickly.

With your volunteer work in Tanzania you have the opportunity to experience Tanzania intensively as a volunteer. On a safari in the Mikumi National Park or in the Serengeti, in the Ngorongoro Crater or in the Manyara National Park, you will be able to experience natural landscapes and African wild animals such as giraffes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, lions and other wild cats live. The old German-African town of Bagamoyo, for example, offers you insights into East African colonial history.

Whether you are active inland or right on the coast – Tanzania will surely impress you and you will return with unique memories after your volunteering in Africa!
