RGV Team Ghana and Volunteers donate to a school in Ghana

On the 27. July 2016 was a happy day at an RGV-supported school in Accra. The permanent staff suffering from a shortage of teachers and materials was able to get over one large material and money donation look forward to our Rainbow Family!

We are proud of our longstanding school partnerships

Our Ghanaian team and the staff of the school feel very connected, as we have been cooperating with the school for years. The Enrichment of the lessons by our volunteers and the cultural exchange are perceived as a lasting positive experience. More than 500 children between the ages of 3 and 15 are taught at the school. Some classrooms have no walls or doors. There is always a lot to do and Everyone is happy about the motivated helpers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

As at 6. August the 25. School anniversary and celebrations must be celebrated of course, our team and our volunteers decided to donate for the upcoming festivities.

Financial resources, clean drinking water, school supplies and toys

The celebration on the occasion, team leader William and our volunteers donated one huge supply of clean drinking water, Soft drinks, a rare treat for the children of the school, were also included. In addition, our volunteers gifted the school with many, much needed Materials and teaching materials, Toys - some skipping ropes and toy cars - and a donation from William personally were also presented solemnly.

"All the children at the school will benefit from the donations, and with the amount of materials, drinks and money we made sure every child will get their share," said team leader William.

For our volunteers who are currently engaged on site, the day was something very special! Our team and 14 volunteers personally took part in the anniversary celebration on August 6, 2016.
