Volunteer project with horses in Spain

The horse project in Andalusia

I was a volunteer for a year and couldn't have spent my gap year and the Corona lockdown better than in this place. Clare holds and treats the horses in a wonderful way and I'm glad I had the chance to experience what it means to work with horses and only use positive support. 

everyday life in the project

Every day was different, although we had a daily schedule that included picking up horse droppings and feeding them, among other things.

Depending on the number of volunteers, it can get a bit tiring. But spending the whole day with the horses and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere made it all worthwhile. I've also enjoyed cooling off in the pool in the summer or going on hikes with other volunteers in the cooler months. 

Experiences from the time with Clare and Chico

It was always very nice to be with Clare and her family.

You can learn a lot from Chico - whether it's about gardening, music or cooking. I've had many unique and beautiful experiences and can't wait to come back - hopefully soon!
