Join us on our tour and get to know the real Vietnam off the beaten track! Let yourself be enchanted by the Southeast Asian country with its charming residents, beautiful landscapes, exotic wildlife and delicious dishes! For two weeks we travel through Vietnam - from Hanoi always heading south to Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon. We make detours to tropical islands, white sandy beaches and national parks.

Hanoi in Viet Nam
Day 1 | Hanoi: Getting to know each other over dinner together | -

Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, a member of the team will pick you up and take you to the center where you can then check into the hotel. Around 18 p.m. you will be picked up again by the travel coordinator and together we will explore the nightlife in Hanoi's Old Quarter. We eat together, try different local specialties, drink beer and listen to the exciting stories of the locals.

Day 2 | Hanoi: City Tour & Attractions | -

A city tour of Hanoi is on the program in the morning. We visit sights such as the history-rich Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Tran Quoc Pagoda and - after lunch at a local restaurant - the Ethnological Museum. Here you can learn a lot about the ethnic groups in Vietnam and everyday life there.

Caves in Vietnam
Day 3 | Tam Coc - Mua Caves: Cave trip with great views | -

In the morning we start our bus trip to Tam Coc. From there, you'll take a rowboat through the fascinating Three Caves complex, enjoying views of the mountains and rivers. After lunch in a small eatery we continue to Mua Caves, which translates to "dancing cave". After climbing over 500 steps, you have a wonderful view over the beautiful landscape! In the early evening we are back at the hotel.
Optionally you can do a bike tour here in the Tam Coc regions.

Day 4 | Halong Bay: Jungle Trekking on Cat Ba Island | -

Today is a trip to the island of Cat Ba, which is located in the world famous Halong Bay. We start early in the morning and arrive at noon. After lunch at our host family, where we spend the night, we plunge into the jungle adventure. Half a day we walk through the Cat Ba Park. It is one of the most beautiful national parks in the country, with its limestone mountains, reptiles and rare species of monkeys, which are covered in subtropical plants. After this active afternoon relaxing is announced. Dinner is available at the host family. Accommodation: Home Stay (B / L / D)

Halong Bay in Vietnam
Day 5 | Halong Bay: boat trip through the island world & caves | -

In the next three days we will become "spelunkers": Our first half-day adventure starts with a boat trip through Lan Hay Bay, past many small islands. Then you go deep into a flooded cave by kayak! In the evening we return to Hanoi. (B/L)

Day 6 | Dong Hoi: Phong Nha National Park & ​​pure adventure | -

In the early morning we reach Dong Hoi. We visit the Phong Nha National Park, which, with its dream beaches and a fascinating cave system, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And of course our next cave adventure is already waiting for us there: We take the boat to the Phong Nha Cave, which is known for its unique rock formations. After the cave trip, your adventure is not over yet! An (optional) fast-paced zipline ride is sure to get your adrenaline pumping! If that's too much action for you, just sit in a kayak and paddle through the fairytale landscape. We stay with a host family again.

Day 7 | Dong Hoi: Leisure & Night Train to Danang | -

You can shape today however you want. Explore the area and taste the local delicacies! In the evening, take the night train to Danang.

Day 8 | Hoi An: Leisure | -

As soon as you arrive in Da Nang, you continue towards Hoi An. In the picturesque port city you can be on your own again: relax on the beach or rent a scooter and explore the village and rural Vietnam, with rice fields, water buffalo, vegetable gardens and idyllic bamboo bridges!

Day 9 | Hoi An: Leisure | -

Even today you can organize your day freely. Hoi An is considered one of the safest places in Vietnam and offers you many opportunities to travel around the area independently.

Day 10 | Hoi An: powdered sugar sand & crystal clear water | -

Today chilling is the order of the day: The white sandy beach in Hoi An is perfect for this. Relax in the warm sand, jump into the turquoise sea, play beach volleyball! If hanging out on the beach isn't your thing, paddle a canoe to Cham Island (optional).

Ho Chi Minh City
Day 11 | Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City: City Stroll & Night Train Ride | -

In the morning we have time to eat comfortably and to stroll through the city. In the early afternoon, our train leaves Hoi An for Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. Around 6 a.m. we arrive in the southern Vietnamese metropolis. Accommodation: Three-star hotel with two-bed room / night train (F)

Day 12 -

Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Cu Lao An Binh: By boat through the Mekong Delta |

We drive to Vinh Long where we stop at a colorful market. Fish, shrimp, shrimp, crayfish, snakes, paddy field rats, tropical fruits and vegetables - there are many Vietnamese delicacies in this market, some of which take a little getting used to for Europeans. If you don't feel like snakes or rats, take some great photos of the market and taste the exotic fruits! Then we go by boat to our host family. After lunch we visit an "Orchard & Traditional House": With fruit and tea you can listen to traditional music and participate in traditional games in this pretty Vietnamese house before we get back into the rowing boats.

On narrow canals we penetrate deeper into the peaceful landscape and enjoy the tranquility. Traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves pass us, we see farmers and fishermen at work. You have the opportunity to talk to them and learn a little more about their everyday life.

Day 13 -

Can Tho - Cai Rang - Ho Chi Minh City: Mekong Delta Floating Market & Return |

Early in the morning we go by boat to Cai Be market - the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta where local people sell their products on boats. 
After lunch, head back to Ho Chi Minh City. The tour ends in the hotel lobby. At a farewell dinner in a cozy pub or bar, we look back on the many travel experiences. (B/L)

Day 14 | Ho Chi Minh City: Farewell to Vietnam | -

On the day of departure we have breakfast in the hotel. Then you have time to buy some souvenirs, walk in town or eat your favorite meal. Then it is time to say goodbye: we take the public bus to the airport. From there it goes - with many unforgettable memories in the luggage - back home. (F)
