Donation and Engagement Report 2016 released

The volunteer work organizer Rainbow Garden Village (RGV) publishes its first donation and commitment report. In 2016, more than 45.600 euros in donations were paid directly to social organizations in Africa and Asia. There were also numerous donations in kind, know-how and time as well as additional donations from volunteers and interns abroad. 98% of returnees state that they want to continue doing voluntary work.

Volunteering with RGV - now also on Zanzibar

From now on, the volunteer work provider RGV also enables stays abroad on the dream island of Zanzibar. The target group of the organization, people who travel and want to do something good for the local people at the same time, can now be found on the main island of Unguja, off the coast of Tanzania in the areas of social affairs, teaching and medicine.

International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017

RGV wildlife projects tested and recognized as ethically correct

As a volunteer work organizer, Rainbow Garden Village (RGV) attaches great importance to responsible and meaningful project work - also in the field of animal welfare and wildlife. As of November 15, RGV carries the seal of the non-profit campaign Campaign Against Canned Hunting (CACH). All RGV animal projects in Namibia and South Africa have now been audited by CACH and found to be ethical.

Rainbow Garden Village implements child protection policies and says no to volunteer work in orphanages

RGV doesn't just want to talk about it, it's already taking action. At the end of June, the RGV child protection guidelines came into force. Terminating cooperation with orphanages and children's homes is part of the guidelines.
The RGV child protection guidelines are intended to help ensure the well-being of the children in the RGV projects. RGV volunteers as well as employees should be empowered to be mindful on site.
