Your arrival to your Taste of Lapland week

The team will pick you up from the airport in Arvidsjaur and you will drive along romantic winter roads to the husky farm. The closer you get to the village, the wider and more pristine the nature becomes, and you might even see a moose and the northern lights on your way. When you arrive at the accommodation, the team will show you the traditional Swedish country house where you will sleep. There is free WiFi in the guest house, so you can let your family know that you have arrived safely. There is also a main building and the dog kennel on the site. In the evening there is a shared dinner with guests and guides. During the evening you will be informed about everything you need to know for the week and you will receive your equipment.

Musher workshop in Sweden
Day 2 -

Musher workshop (dog sled guide)

At 09:00 a.m. you all have breakfast together again and the guides present the day's events. An hour before breakfast every morning there is the opportunity to take part in feeding all the dogs, and after breakfast you have some time to prepare for the first winter activity, the musher workshop. The Musher Workshop is a mini course where you will learn how to drive a dog sled and a few facts about huskies in general. The course is both theoretical and practical, which means that the whole group also goes on a sleigh ride using the harness they have put on themselves! After lunch there is a group meeting to answer questions and explain any situations while driving. Afterwards the huskies get their well-deserved meal and you also get a traditional Nordic dinner. Let yourself be surprised!
