Visit to the Makonde Cultural Center for Art and Music
On the first day of the tour we will go to Makuti by bus. There we will visit the Makonde Cultural Center, where we will be introduced to the traditional art and music of Tanzania. A traditional lunch also awaits us here. Afterwards we continue to our accommodation in the Msimbati Marine Park, where we end the day with a dinner together on the beach.
Excursion to the Ruvuma River on the Mozambique border
With a bit of luck we can see crocodiles and hippos on a tour on the Ruvuma River. Afterwards we relax on the beach in the Msimbati Marine Park. We will have dinner together at our accommodation and make a campfire on the beach.
While snorkeling we enjoy the tranquility in the Msimbati Marine Park
Today we start the day in a relaxed way. Depending on your mood you can go for a walk on the beach, swim in the sea or go snorkelling. For lunch and dinner we eat together on the beach.
On the way back to Mtwara
On the way back we make a stopover at two lonely islands: there we enjoy the peace and quiet before we go back to everyday life. For dinner we go to a restaurant on the seafront of Mikindani, from where we can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. Afterwards we drive to the Student House in Mtwara.
Visit a historic colonial building in Mikindani
On the last day of the tour we treat ourselves once more to a cultural experience: The "Old Boma", which originates from the German colonial era, offers an impressive insight into the past of Tanzania! For lunch we go to a hotel in Mikindani, where we can relax afterwards at the pool. To end the tour properly we organize a big campfire on the last evening and make music together with traditional drums.
