My volunteer work in the Big Five project in South Africa
The two weeks in the bush were much more than a vacation. Such an experience makes us feel what ultimately matters in life. Even 3 weeks after my return, I still have the smells of the bush in my nose and the sounds of the animals in my ears.

What was I hoping for? Intensity, DOing more than just passively experiencing it, perhaps getting a little closer to the core of life and having nice conversations with like-minded people. The time at the camp in South Africa exceeded my expectations.
Even 3 weeks after my return, I still have the smells of the bush in my nose and the sounds of the animals in my ears. Intense experiences like bush walks or spending the night around a campfire that I will certainly never forget. The countless inspiring impressions made it easy for me, even in my mid-50s, to fully embrace the rather simple life in the camp. From the good advice from Rainbow Garden Village (so I already knew that I would meet fellow campers of a similar age) and the help with travel preparations to the warm welcome and the perfect support from the really committed team in South Africa, I felt good at all times felt lifted. The two weeks in the bush were much more than a vacation. Such an experience makes us feel what ultimately matters in life.
