Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 1
Day 1 -

Kathmandu/Chitwan - Pokhara (850 m)

From Kathmandu or Chitwan, you will take the tourist bus to Pokhara, the starting point of our trekking trip. After the approximately seven-hour drive, you will move into your hotel directly at Phewa Lake. Here you have some time to walk along the shore of the beautiful mountain lake before the trekking adventure begins the next morning. (F)

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 2
Day 2 -

Pokhara - Nayapool (1080 m) - Hille (1520 m)

In the morning we leave for the village of Nayapool. The journey there takes about two hours. Now our guided trekking tour can begin. You don't need to worry about your luggage: you simply set out with a daypack and your luggage will be carried by the local porters. We hike towards Hille through a dense bamboo forest and green fields. After about 4 hours we reach the village where there are some small shops and a suspension bridge over the river. You stay in a simple lodge with running water but no hot shower. (B, M, A)

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 3
Day 3 -

Hille - Ghorepani (2860 m)

We trek down into the valley and cross the Burungdi Khola river with its ice-cold meltwater from the heights of the Himalayas. We slowly climb up a stone staircase to an altitude of 2.000 m. The ascent is strenuous, but you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the high mountains. Our route to Ghorepani leads us through a rhododendron forest. The small town, surrounded by gigantic mountains, welcomes us with waving colorful prayer flags. Incidentally, hikers can also reach the famous Annapurna Base Camp from Ghorepani (which is not where we want to go on this tour). Our destination is Poon Hill! (F, M, A).

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 4
Day 4 -

Ghorepani - Poon Hill (3195 m) - Tadapani (2600 m)

Today we get up very early to reach Poon Hill in time for sunrise. After an early breakfast we climb to the 3.195 meter high peak. What a fantastic sight: the colors of the rising sun make the white peaks of the Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri shine in a deep orange! After really enjoying the view of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, we descend again and continue trekking to Tadapani. (B, M, A)

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 5
Day 5 -

Tadapani - Ghan Pressure (1921 m)

From Tandapani the descent slowly begins towards civilization. After 2,5 hours we reach the village of Ghandruck and after two days we are below an altitude of 2000 m for the first time. On the way we cross wild mountain landscapes and the fields of the Nepalese mountain farmers. (B, M, A)

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 6
Day 6 -

Ghan Print - Birethati - Pokhara

Now the last trekking day of our Poon Hill tour begins. After a 4,5 hour descent we first reach the village of Birethati and finally arrive back at Nayapool. From here you will be driven back to Pokhara by car and dropped off at your hotel. You have the rest of the day free. (F)

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 7
Day 7 -

Pokhara

After our strenuous hike, you now have the whole day off in Pokhara for the first time and can organize it according to your individual wishes. For example, you have the opportunity to explore Lake Phewa and its beautiful surroundings on a boat tour or simply put your feet up, relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain panorama of Pokhara.

Nepal Poonhill Trekking Day 3
Day 8 -

Transfer Kathmandu/Chitwan

Today you will be transferred back to Kathmandu or Chitwan. If you want, you can of course stay longer in Pokhara on your own.
