Volunteering in Nepal

Nepal - "Roof of the World" and "Heart of the Jungle". Not only breathtaking landscapes await you here, whether in the Himalaya Mountains or in the Chitwan National Park, but also countless exciting festivals and traditions, an impressive and diverse history and architecture as well as an infectious joie de vivre of the locals!

Hindu-influenced Nepal is still considered one of the poorest countries in Asia. Political instability and long-lasting civil wars that lasted until 2006 weakened the country and prevented economic development for a long period of time. Get involved as a volunteer in one of our projects to make a small contribution to improving the situation and get to know the country from a very authentic perspective!

Participation in your volunteer work in Nepal requires a high degree of flexibility and independence. In Nepal, for example, classes are still canceled regularly, teachers and carers do not come to work reliably and the children are not used to regular care. It is all the more important that our volunteers help where support is needed. Where there is a lack of care, you should intervene, even if this means not only working at one facility.

We are often asked whether it makes sense to get involved in our volunteer projects without professional training. No doubt she is! The Voluntary work in the social field starts, for example, with simple basic knowledge. Basic arithmetic and basic English skills are practiced in a playful way with the children. If you prefer to get involved actively, you can do 100% yourself produce ecological paper or when Environmental and animal welfare support on site.
